TANAH MARAH KING CHALETS
Each of our six self-contained, rammed earth chalets come with two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, and an open plan living and kitchen area. The rooms are spacious, and all lead to a terrace overlooking the stunning lake and forest. An undercover carport is at the rear of the kitchen and has parking for two vehicles.
Five of the chalets are identical in layout – the sixth chalet has one bathroom that is wheelchair accessible, but otherwise the same.
KING CHALETS – KITCHEN AND LIVING AREA
The chalet kitchens are well appointed and recently renovated. The full-sized, fully equipped kitchen has Caesarstone benchtops, European ovens and induction cooktops, a dishwasher, a fridge/freezer and a microwave.
There is a dining table that seats six people, and leather couches facing a large screen television.
KING CHALETS – BEDROOMS
The beds are luxurious and can be made up in crisp white linen as one king bed or two long single beds in each bedroom. The bedrooms are large, and equal in size.
The bedroom leads directly into a large ensuite bathroom with a walk in shower stall, double vanity basins and closet space. Each has a separate toilet.
Our Accessible King Chalet contains all the features of the King Chalets, with one bathroom being wheelchair accessible.
The shower has a fold-down shower bench and rails, and the toilet is wheelchair accessible, with rails.
The handbasins are configured to be wheelchair accessible.
Wheelchair Accessible Accommodation in Margaret River
Tanah Marah is proud to offer accommodation in Margaret River to guests with mobility issues.
All chalets are suitable for people with mobility issues, built on a single level without steps. Showers do not have hobs, so there’s no need to step up or down.
The entire property has been laid out with accessibility in mind, with level entries to all public areas, and sealed pathways.
We visited Tanah Marah out of curiosity, but on the first visit fell in love with this wonderful place. Some of the property had been run as dairy farms in years gone by, but in the early 2000’s was developed as an eco resort. We loved the natural environment here, with the Bramley Brook running the length of the 340 acres and many areas of forest and bushland.
We were also amazed at the infrastructure that had been developed, although sadly the property had been vacant for some time and was in need of refurbishment. We hadn’t expected to make such a major life change, but here we are, running Tanah Marah with our daughter Lucy and with help from our sons Tom and Joe. You don’t have to look far though, to know the real workers here are the entertainment team – border collies Pandora and Annie, Mooranda and Wally the calves and our friendly sheep!
We feel privileged to live in such a beautiful place and love learning about this amazing and unique environment and are committed to caring for it. We strive to create a high quality accommodation and event venue and hope that every guest will treasure their time at Tanah Marah.
